There have now been 15 applications for funding through the expertise sharing pilot, all of which have been approved and are underway. The funding under this strand allows Beacons and other high performing providers to offer support to any other provider in receipt of public funding.
An example of one pilot underway is that between Stubbing Court Training (a work based learning provider) and Pendleton College; both of which have put in separate proposals to offer one another assistance in their own areas of expertise. Stubbing Court is offering Pendleton help with equine studies whilst Pendleton will offer its expertise in teaching and learning.
There are also examples of providers offering support to more than one provider under the same proposal; for example Xaverian SFC plans to share with four other providers in the areas of quality assurance and curriculum development in an integrated leadership development programme.
