LSIS launch first new programme

LSIS was pleased to announce the launch of its first new programme in October: the Quality Champions Accreditation programme (QCAP).

Building on an earlier scheme, first introduced by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI), the programme is designed to identify, develop and accredit the leaders in quality improvement across the further education (FE) system. LSIS aims to work with the transformational individuals of the sector, to recognise their achievements, support their development and share their practice.

The programme will recruit staff at various levels of seniority from across the sector, enabling them to gain a prestigious qualification, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management at level 5 or 7.

As we move towards greater self regulation, developing the knowledge and skills for leadership in quality improvement will be crucial in building the capacity of individuals and organisations to manage and improve their performance.  This idea underpins both the High Quality Managers programme and the Quality Champions Accreditation programme.

Through the QCAP, individuals will be supported through a flexible, personalised, innovative learning programme to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to understand and exercise their own professional practice and leadership capacity and capability.  The High Quality Managers programme, first introduced as a pilot in August last year, identifies the transformational managers and leaders in the sector, connecting them in short, focussed peer-mentoring relationships with others at various stages of their own, or their organisation’s development.
